No room for complacency

No room for complacency

AISA are happy that Arsenal were shown to score high on the list of football clubs who are compliant with legislation for access for supporters who use wheelchairs. Arsenal are fourth on the lists with a 96% compliance score.

However there is no room for complacency in this matter and AISA will be taking it up and discussing possible improvements with the club.

Mike Penning MP, Minister of State for Disabled People, wrote to every professional club in Britain last month telling them they must comply with equalities legislation after it was revealed that few of the Premier League's 20 stadiums comply with legal obligations over the amount of space which should be set aside for fans in wheelchairs

What do you think? We invite all you disabled supporters and your families friends and carers to contact us with your comments and suggestions.

Arsenal Football Club was recognised for demonstrating high standards in accessibility when it received one of the first Centre of Excellence awards from Level Playing Field in November 2012.
