Barry Dixey

Professionally Barry worked for the FA when he left school but joined the London Fire Brigade in 1974 where he served for over 30 years.  Now retired Barry organises Football Memorabilia fairs and also has a space selling sporting memorabilia at an antique shop in Otford, Kent.

Barry's first Arsenal match was home to Aston Villa in the 61-62 season - Arsenal lost that one 4-5!  But he recalls the same fixture two years later more fondly when Arsenal won 3-0 with Joe Baker getting a hat-trick.  His favourite memory is Arsenal winning the Fairs Cup in 1970 after many trophy less seasons.  Favourite Arsenal player – John Radford.

A season ticket holder at Highbury and now at the Emirates in the lower East Stand.
